George Veletsianos was also awarded as a co-author.

Voted best proposal (out of 104 submissions) for the Association for Educational Communications and Technology (AECT), Teacher Education Division (TED), for the proposal "Theories that work: Pre-service and practicing teacher evaluations of technology integration models." Cassidy Hall was also awarded as a co-author.
  • AMX Innovation Award Finalist. (2014). Named as a finalist at UB Tech 2014 for the design of an innovative learning technologies lab that balances student-centered cooperative control with teacher management and allows for multi-location touchscreen collaboration.
  • Outstanding Research Paper Award. (2013). Received at the Association for the Advancement of Computing in Education's (AACE) World Conference on Educational Media and Technology (Ed-Media) for the paper "Making learning fun through a ludic simulation."

Highest rated proposal (out of 120 submissions) for the Association for Educational Communications and Technology (AECT), Research and Theory Division (RTD), for the proposal "What do we know about scholars' and researchers' participation in online networks?" George Veletsianos was also awarded as a co-author.
  • Disney Research Learning Challenge Finalist. (2010). Named as a finalist at the Association for Computing Machinery's (ACM) Special Interest Group on Graphics and Interactive Techniques (SIGGRAPH) for a problem-based, serious game called "Salamander Rescue," designed to teach middle-school students about earth science and scientific inquiry techniques.
